Open it up — safely

Knocking two rooms into one open-plan space is the biggest transformation you can make without extending. It's also the job where cutting corners costs the most — which is why every structural job we do is engineered, properly propped, and signed off by building control.

We handle knock-throughs and steel beam installations, lintel replacements, chimney breast removals, structural brickwork repairs, and the making-good that turns a hole in a wall back into a finished room.

Frequently asked questions

Can you remove a load-bearing wall?

Yes — this is one of our most common jobs. We work with a structural engineer to size the steel, install it with proper temporary support, and arrange building control sign-off.

Do structural alterations need building regulations approval?

Almost always, yes. We arrange the structural calculations, notify building control and get the completion certificate — the paperwork you'll need when you come to sell.
