Two stone pillars at the end of the drive change the whole look of a frontage. Built in natural stone, coursed and pointed by hand — this is bricklaying, just with a material that's far less forgiving than brick.

Every stone has to be picked and placed. There's no hiding a bad joint in stonework, which is exactly why it's satisfying to get right.
